FCC Nations Goes to the Wire

The green of Angkor Golf Resort in Siem Reap were alive over the weekend with exclamations of “aww my gawd” and “strewth” as the FCC Nations Cup came to a blistering and exciting finish. The tension was almost unbearable as two playoff holes were required to decide the eventual winners.



The Singapore/ Myanmar wins the FCC Nations Cup, presented by FCC Chief Operating Officer/ Raphael Guilien to Tin Kyaw Latt, Schubert Neo, and Chuan Campbell


The Singapore – Myanmar team and Team Canada both ended the two rounds level on a combined score of 212. A playoff hole ensued, but the hot competition between the two teams resulted in a draw again with a combined score of eleven each. In the second playoff, Singapore – Myanmar emerged victorious with a total of 9 strokes against Canada’s 11. 
 
Many strong individual performances were witnessed during the tournament. Australia Defence Attache Colonel Lewis Coyle won best individual stableford score over the two rounds, amassing 42 stableford points. Second was Korean golfer Kim Yongtae and Cambodia’s Meng Hieng came third. Indeed, local players put in good displays all around as Team Cambodia came third in the event with a score of 210.
