After the success of the 2009 Angkor Amateur Open, Angkor Golf Resort has confirmed the dates for this year’s event as being Friday, 6th August - Sunday, 8th August 2010.
The 2009 Open saw golfers from eight different countries around Asia and Europe compete over the Faldo course. A strong representation saw half the field with a handicap index of 10 and below.

"I am delighted that we are continuing the Angkor Amateur Open and we are hopeful in attracting more golfers from new destinations. The first year is always the hardest but now we have a solid foundation to build on I feel confident that the 2010 Open will be even more enjoyable and exciting” Adam Robertson, Manager stated.
The format of the event will remain the same as last year comprising of a two round, system 36 handicap format combined score over the two days. There will be different handicap sections allowing a more keenly contested event in each division. There will also be a gross score section which will ultimately decide the overall Angkor Amateur Open winner of 2010.
“We managed to capture the attention of a good many golfers from around the world with the first ever Amateur International Open in Cambodia, this year we wish to surpass all expectations by adding something different to the event. We are looking forward to show casing Angkor Golf Resort and Siem Reap as a unique golf destination” Robertson added.
